Community All-gates : 8-27-18

Hey Everyone!  Welcome to the "Community All-gates", the weekly feature on The Realm Gate Blog where every Monday I plan to highlight something or someone from around the Age of Sigmar and Miniature Painting Community.  It might be an Event, a YouTube Channel, Blog, Army List, Model, Hobby Project, or anything else that catches my eye.  Today I want to put the spotlight on the Grand Opening of Warhammer Citadel in Grapevine Texas this past weekend.  It looked like a big celebration with plenty of fans coming out to enjoy the festivities.

The Warhammer Community team flew over in order to cover the event and give us some fun announcements throughout the day.  It was great seeing pictures go up on social media and follow some of the live videos happening on Facebook.  It really looks like a great store and I have added it to my list to visit in the near future.  While I am very excited to get to head over to Warhammer World in a few months I cannot see missing out on a trip to Warhammer Citadel as a must for any U.S. Warhammer fan.

Becca Scott also came out to help host the festivities and it is great seeing her return after some surprise videos at the launch of the new edition of Age of Sigmar explaining the rules and putting Duncan back in his painting chair.  I am really excited to see big names like Becca getting involved as it will only help grow our community and see Tabletop Wargaming grow as a benefit.

Two big Age of Sigmar items shown off at the opening was a new Troggoth model that looks fantastic and will be coming to Warhammer Underworlds soon apparently.  I am excited to see what this model will do in the game and what is on the horizon for upcoming releases such as the announced Beast of Chaos Army Book!  A final and much more exciting bit is that Grand Tournaments are coming to the U.S. and they will complement the current larger events in the states.  I will very much be planning on going to one of the first ones that pop up if funds allow.

Be sure to check our the Warhammer Citadel Facebook Page, Becca Scotts Twitter, WHTV Dan's Twitter, and The Warhammer Community Article for the complete coverage of the event!  Until Next time, Happy Hobbying!
